I'm Samantha. I enjoy playing the ukulele, crocheting, and reading obsessively.
Warning: I'm taking Italian this semester, so if I just start posting in Italian, random words & phrases, this is why.

I have an etsy shop where you can buy my pixel art:

Just sitting in the fucking airport waiting

I am so mad u don’t even kno
I just want a cig and to go 2 fucking JFK goddammit

Socializing is as exhausting as giving blood. People assume we loners are misanthropes, just sitting thinking, ‘Oh, people are such a bunch of assholes,’ but it’s really not like that. We just have a smaller tolerance for what it takes to be with others. It means having to perform. I get so tired of communicating.

I’ve just seen and heard so much hatred. I’ve been called garbage, I’ve been called the death of fucking good music, trash, stupid, pointless and disposable. I don’t understand. I’m just trying to make people happy. And it’s such positive, fun music. Like, why are people so angry?

WHO MADE KE$HA CRY I WILL CUT YOU

man

y’know

I don’t even care for her music all that much

But all of y’all people who are vehemently, aggressively insulting and just plain fucking rude about artists’ work

Y’all need a goddamn dropkick to the head.

reminder that celebrities are people too and you should treat people with love and respect.

Yesterday Whoopi Goldberg was in Dutch television program Nova Collegetour to talk about her life and work. The interview is done in a room full of students and they have the chance to ask questions.

This mildly autistic guy stood up, and this is what happened.

why am i crying tho?

I cried too…you just never know how you affect people. I love Whoopi, I have always appreciated how she is unapologetically herself. I admire that.

That was pretty awesome.

I cried too. Man, I love Whoopi. When I was a kid in the 80’s I used to watch her one woman show over and over and over again. I’d love to see the full interview.

Representation matter. These aren’t just little TV shows and films. Media is what shapes the way we see the world. We need to be careful about what we’re putting out there, and we need everyone represented. It changes lives.

Apologies for the terrible image quality - I’m lacking scanner access at the minute so I had to take these photos on my phone

I was reading hyperbole and a half’s blog entry explaining their experience of depression and decided to make another sketchy comic based on my experiences with anxiety, which is another mental illness I think people tend to misunderstand quite frequently

Hopefully this will be of use to some people - whether they suffer from anxiety themselves or if they just want to know more about it
